Dwarfspheroida is a taxonomic group within the class of cephalopods, specifically a suborder of the order Sepiida, commonly known as cuttlefish. The term "Dwarfspheroida" is not widely recognized in mainstream ichthyological literature, but it is occasionally referenced in specialized studies focusing on the evolutionary and morphological diversity of cuttlefish. This suborder is characterized by its relatively small size compared to other cuttlefish species, typically measuring less than 10 centimeters in mantle length.

The classification of Dwarfspheroida is debated among researchers, with some studies suggesting it may represent a distinct evolutionary lineage, while others consider it a paraphyletic grouping within Sepiida. Members of this group are primarily found in shallow, tropical, and subtropical marine environments, often inhabiting coral reefs, seagrass beds, and sandy substrates. Their small size and cryptic behavior make them difficult to study, contributing to the limited understanding of their biology and ecology.

Dwarfspheroida species exhibit typical cuttlefish traits, such as a streamlined body, a well-developed siphon for propulsion, and a complex internal shell called the cuttlebone, which aids in buoyancy regulation.
