Driftskonfiguration

Driftskonfiguration is a German term used to describe the configuration or setup of drift parameters within a model, system, or analysis. It refers to how the drift component is defined, parameterized and managed, often across different disciplines such as mathematics, physics, engineering and data analysis. The term is not universally standardized, but in practice it denotes the explicit specification of how systematic change over time is represented.

In stochastic modeling, drift is the deterministic part of a process that causes a gradual movement in the expected value of a variable. The driftskonfiguration specifies the mathematical form of the drift term, which can be constant, time-dependent, state-dependent, or driven by external inputs.
