Crystaloscillatoren
Crystaloscillatoren, also known as crystal oscillators, are electronic oscillators that use the mechanical resonance of a vibrating crystal to create an electrical signal with a precise frequency. The most common type of piezoelectric resonator used is quartz, due to its stability and predictable behavior. When an electric voltage is applied across a quartz crystal, it deforms due to the piezoelectric effect. Conversely, if the crystal is mechanically stressed, it generates an electric voltage. By incorporating the crystal into an electronic circuit that provides feedback, the crystal can be made to vibrate at its natural resonant frequency. This vibration then generates a stable AC signal at that frequency.
