Crossdock
Cross-docking is a logistics practice in which incoming shipments are unloaded from inbound transport and directly transferred to outbound transport with little or no storage in between. The goal is to minimize handling, reduce inventory levels, and speed up replenishment.
Two main forms are recognized: flow-through cross-docking, where goods are rapidly moved from receiving to shipping
