Cracticus
Cracticus is a genus of birds in the family Artamidae, commonly known as the Australian magpies or bell magpies. These birds are native to Australia and New Guinea. The genus currently contains six species, though historically more were recognized. Cracticus birds are medium to large passerines, typically with a stocky build and a distinctive black and white plumage pattern. They are known for their loud, melodious calls and their opportunistic feeding habits.
