Joseph "Joe" Philippe Brodeur is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who currently plays for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on August 15, 1985, in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Brodeur is the son of former NHL goaltender Patrick Roy, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders in hockey history.

Brodeur began his professional career in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Hartford Wolf Pack in 2006, where he quickly established himself as a reliable starter.
