Bithiba
Bithiba is a genus of small, nocturnal rodents belonging to the family Cricetidae, commonly known as New World hamsters or cricetid hamsters. These animals are native to South America, with their geographic distribution spanning across various countries including Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Bithiba are primarily found in arid and semi-arid regions, inhabiting grasslands, savannas, and scrublands.
The genus bithiba contains a single recognized species, Bithiba macrura, often referred to as the long-tailed
