Ausführungspläne

Ausführungspläne are the detailed drawings and documents produced in the execution planning phase of a construction project. They translate the approved design into precise, implementable instructions for the construction site and for trades such as architecture, structure, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical installations. Typical components include architectural floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, as well as installation diagrams, material specifications, and assembly sequences. Also included are schedules for quantities, components, and finishes, as well as notes on workmanship and tolerances.

The primary purpose of Ausführungspläne is to guide construction, support tendering and procurement, and provide the basis for permits, inspections, and contract fulfillment. They document exact dimensions, connections, interfaces between trades, methods of installation, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations, such as building codes and relevant DIN or European standards. In many projects they are created by architects and engineers in coordination with contractors, and they are often maintained within a BIM model or CAD system.

Coordination is a key aspect: Ausführungspläne are developed after the design phase and require multidisciplinary review to resolve clashes and ensure constructibility. They are typically subdivided into discipline-specific plans (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, sanitary) and may be complemented by shop drawings and installation lists. Changes during construction are tracked and documented, with as-built drawings produced after completion to reflect actual conditions.

Relation to other planning stages is sequential: they follow the design planning and feed into construction execution and project handover. Compliance with statutory requirements and contractual obligations is central, making Ausführungspläne a critical link between planning intent and built reality.
