Artikulationsbelags, often translated as "articulation coating" or "articulation material," is a thin layer of colored powder used in dentistry to visualize contact points between opposing teeth. It is typically applied to the occlusal surfaces of natural teeth or dental restorations during the process of adjusting a patient's bite. The material is sensitive to pressure, and when teeth come together, the coating transfers to the surfaces that are in contact. This transfer creates visible marks that indicate areas of premature contact, high spots, or uneven occlusion.

Dentists use artikulationsbelags to precisely identify and correct problematic occlusal interferences. These interferences can lead to discomfort, tooth wear, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and problems with dental restorations.
