Alsias

Alsias is a fictional realm created for fantasy literature and tabletop role-playing games. It is commonly depicted as a temperate, coastal-leaning kingdom with a diverse population and a long maritime tradition.

Geographically, Alsias occupies a continental mainland with orchards, forests, and a major river system that flows to a protected delta along the western coast. The capital, Ardentport, lies near the delta, serving as a commercial hub.

The realm is governed as a constitutional monarchy with a largely ceremonial monarch and an elected assembly known as the Serin Council. Local administration is organized into counties, each governed by a count who presides over judiciary matters and taxes.

In most sources, Alsias arose as a united realm after centuries of city-state independence and feudal conflicts, with a formative treaty sealed under the Calder Dynasty. It has periodically clashed with neighboring realms over trade routes and access to the Serin River.

Its economy centers on trade, shipbuilding, timber, and agricultural produce from riverine plains. The Alsian language is widely spoken, with regional dialects; religious life includes temple complexes dedicated to a pantheon. Cultural life emphasizes guild crafts, festivals, and seafaring lore.

Prominent landmarks include the Sapphire Gate, a fortified harbor entrance; the Emerald University, a center for sciences and arts.
