Alhaisissa

Alhaisissa is a coastal municipality in the western part of Eldoria, a fictional nation. It lies along the delta of the Alha River, with a sheltered harbor used by commercial fishing fleets and ferries. The municipality covers about 68 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 7,430 in 2023. The urban center sits beside rural hamlets and dune landscapes along the temperate coast.

Alhaisissa originated as a fishing village in the 12th century and grew into a market town through maritime trade. Tourism is important in the warmer months, driven by the harbor promenade, a historic lighthouse, and coastal trails. The local administration promotes sustainable fisheries and heritage conservation to balance growth with resilience.

Most residents speak Eldorian, with a distinct coastal dialect. The Tide Festival in August is a major cultural event featuring boat parades, markets, and concerts. The town's museum preserves maritime artifacts and the history of the delta.

Governance is by a 12-member municipal council led by a mayor. Alhaisissa participates in inter-municipal planning within Eldoria and maintains cooperative service agreements with neighboring towns. Transport includes a harbor, regional rail connections, and a local bus network.
