Akihitos
The term Akihitos refers to a contemporary Japanese spiritual movement that emerged in the early 1970s. The movement takes its name from Emperor Akihito and was formally organized by a small group of Buddhist scholars and lay practitioners who sought to reinterpret traditional Kyoto Buddhist teachings for a post‑war society.
