8T is a designation used in several domains to indicate eight transistors or, in some contexts, a model suffix in device names. In electronics, the term 8T commonly refers to an eight-transistor static random-access memory (SRAM) cell, a configuration used in on-chip memory.

The 8T SRAM cell consists of two cross-coupled inverters that store a bit, plus two access transistors that control write operations. In many implementations, an additional pair of transistors provides a separate read path, allowing reads to occur without disturbing the stored data. This decoupled read port improves read stability and noise margin compared with the traditional 6T SRAM cell, at the cost of larger area and higher power consumption. 8T designs are often favored in cache memories and other on-chip RAM areas where reliable reads are important.

In consumer electronics, 8T commonly appears as a model suffix, most notably in the OnePlus 8T smartphone released in 2020. The OnePlus 8T featured a Snapdragon 865 processor, a 120 Hz high-refresh-rate display, and fast charging capabilities, marking a refresh of the Eight series with incremental performance and feature updates over the previous generation.

Beyond memory cells and product naming, 8T can appear in other contexts as a version or variant designation within hardware lines, software projects, or engineering documentation. The meaning of 8T therefore depends on the domain and the surrounding context.
