767s refers to Boeing’s family of wide-body twinjet airliners. Developed in the late 1970s to fill a market niche between smaller wide-bodies and the larger 747, the 767 offered long-range capability with relatively low operating costs. The first flight occurred in 1981, and the type entered commercial service in 1982.
