Öljytankkeri, often referred to as an oil tanker, is a large ship specifically designed to transport crude oil and petroleum products. These vessels are a crucial part of the global energy supply chain, moving vast quantities of oil from production sites to refineries and distribution centers around the world. The hull of an oil tanker is typically divided into numerous cargo tanks. The operation of an oil tanker involves specialized equipment for loading and unloading cargo, including powerful pumps and extensive piping systems. Crew members on these vessels undergo rigorous training to handle the complexities of oil transport and to respond effectively to emergencies.
