This allows devices to access the internet or local network resources without the need for physical cables.

In a typical setup, an access point is connected to a router or switch via an Ethernet cable. The access point then transmits and receives data wirelessly, acting as a bridge between the wired and wireless networks. Multiple access points can be deployed in larger areas or buildings to extend Wi-Fi coverage and ensure a stable connection for users moving between different zones. This is known as a wireless mesh network.
