Överskåp

An överskåp is a type of cabinet or cupboard that is mounted above another unit, typically a countertop or a base cabinet. In Swedish, "överskåp" translates directly to "over cabinet." These units are commonly found in kitchens, bathrooms, and workshops, where they provide valuable storage space without occupying floor area.

The primary function of an överskåp is to utilize vertical space efficiently. They are often installed directly onto walls, maximizing the available storage capacity in a room. In a kitchen, överskåp are used to store dishes, glasses, pantry items, and other kitchenware, keeping them within easy reach while freeing up counter space.
