Control systems can be implemented using various technologies, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components. Increasingly, digital computers and microcontrollers are employed as controllers, enabling sophisticated algorithms and adaptive control strategies. Applications range from temperature regulation in a thermostat and cruise control in a car to flight control systems in aircraft and process automation in chemical plants.
