verneombud

Verneombud is a Norwegian safety representative responsible for safeguarding employees’ health, safety and the working environment under the Working Environment Act (Arbeidsmiljøloven). The verneombud’s role is to monitor compliance with the act and relevant regulations, participate in risk assessments, and advocate for preventive measures to reduce hazards in the workplace. They serve as a link between employees and management on safety matters and help ensure that safety improvements are implemented.
