tvärlaminering
Tvärlaminering, often referred to as cross-laminated timber (CLT), is a modern engineered wood product. It is constructed from layers of kiln-dried lumber that are glued together. The key characteristic of tvärlaminering is the orientation of the wood layers. In each layer, the timber is laid in a consistent direction, and successive layers are oriented at a 90-degree angle to the layer beneath. This alternating pattern of grain direction creates a strong, stable, and rigid panel.
The manufacturing process typically involves planing and then bonding the individual timber boards with structural adhesives.
