For instance, F1 is commonly used to open a help menu in many programs. F2 often initiates renaming a file or folder. F3 can be used to search within an application. F4, when combined with the Alt key (Alt+F4), is a standard shortcut for closing the current window or application. F5 is frequently employed to refresh a web page or reload a document.
