In practice, tjenestetilgang is implemented through service accounts or machine credentials such as API keys, OAuth client credentials, service principals, or client certificates. Access is governed by identity and access management (IAM) policies and is often organized using roles and scopes, following the principle of least privilege. Security considerations emphasize the risk of credential leakage, misconfiguration, and excessive privileges, which can broaden blast radius in a breach. Mitigations include enforcing least privilege, regular access reviews, secret rotation, ephemeral credentials, and strong provisioning controls.
