Tiragem is the act of drawing and arranging cards, runes, or other symbolic elements to obtain guidance or insight. The term derives from the Portuguese verb "tirar" (to draw). In divinatory practices, a tiragem is the reading that follows the selection and layout, used for personal reflection, decision making, or foresight, depending on context and belief.

In tarot and similar systems, tiragem involves choosing a spread (the pattern of card positions) and interpreting the cards in relation to their positions and to one another. Common formats include single-card draws, three-card spreads (past, present, future), and larger layouts like the Celtic Cross. Cards may be drawn randomly or after a cut of the deck.

The practice uses tarot decks, oracle decks, Lenormand cards, or runes, among others. It appears in many Portuguese-speaking communities, from professional readers to informal consultations, and is often integrated into both secular guidance and spiritual or religious settings.

Interpretation relies on symbol meanings, intuition, and knowledge of the chosen system. Ethical considerations include consent, privacy, and avoiding definitive claims when outcomes are uncertain. Tiragem is usually presented as guidance about possible directions rather than guaranteed predictions.
