tiiger
Tiiger is the Dutch name for the animal commonly known in English as the tiger (Panthera tigris). Tigers are large, solitary carnivores with a muscular build, an orange coat, black stripes, and a white underbelly. The stripe pattern is unique to each individual, much like fingerprints in humans. Males are typically larger than females, with weights that can reach up to about 320 kilograms in some individuals.
Tigers are native to Asia, from the Indian subcontinent to Siberia, though their historical range was broader.
Tigers are largely solitary and territorial. They mark and defend their ranges using scent markings and scrapes,
Conservation status: Tigers are listed as Endangered by the IUCN, with several subspecies at heightened risk
