Tietouseenlike, also known as tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the growth of benign tumors in various parts of the body. These tumors, called hamartomas, can develop in organs such as the skin, brain, kidneys, heart, and eyes. The condition is inherited in an autosomal dominant manner, meaning only one copy of the defective gene is sufficient to cause the disorder, although spontaneous mutations can also occur.

The clinical features of tietouseenlike vary widely among affected individuals. Common symptoms include seizures, developmental delays, intellectual disability, skin abnormalities such as facial angiofibromas and ash leaf spots, and kidney issues like angiomyolipomas. In the brain, tubers and subependymal nodules may be present, often contributing to neurological problems including epilepsy and behavioral disorders like autism spectrum disorder.

Diagnosis is primarily based on clinical criteria, imaging studies such as MRI and CT scans, and genetic testing for mutations in the TSC1 and TSC2 genes. Early diagnosis is important for management and to reduce complications.

Treatment focuses on managing symptoms and preventing complications. Anti-epileptic drugs are used to control seizures, while surgical interventions may be necessary for tumors causing organ dysfunction. Newer therapies targeting the mTOR pathway, such as everolimus, have shown promise in reducing tumor size and managing certain manifestations of the disease.

While there is no cure for tietouseenlike, ongoing research and multidisciplinary management can significantly improve quality of life for individuals with the disorder. Regular monitoring and tailored treatment plans are essential for addressing the diverse and often complex manifestations of this condition.
