Thymic carcinomas are more likely to cause symptoms such as chest pain, cough, and difficulty breathing.

Diagnosis typically involves imaging techniques such as CT scans or MRI, followed by a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and determine the specific type and grade of the tumor. Treatment options depend on the tumor type, stage, and whether it has spread. Surgical resection is the primary treatment for resectable tumors. Radiation therapy and chemotherapy may be used for more advanced or invasive cancers, or in cases where surgery is not possible.
