terkode

Terkode is a term found in Indonesian-language discussions about information security, data processing, and digital media. It generally describes information or content that has been encoded, obfuscated, or otherwise transformed by a coding process. The word combines the prefix ter- with kode, the Indonesian word for code, signaling a completed encoding state.

Etymology and usage. In everyday use, terkode can refer to data encoded for transport, compressed, or encrypted, depending on context. It also appears in non-technical settings, such as puzzles or media where parts of the content are deliberately masked or hidden. The exact technique implied by terkode is not fixed by the term itself.
