snaplock
SnapLock is a generic term used to describe a family of snap-fit locking mechanisms that secure two parts together through elastic engagement. In its simplest form, a SnapLock system relies on a male projection that snaps into a corresponding recess or a flexible latch that deflects under pressure and returns to a locked position when released. Some designs incorporate a detent, tongue-and-groove geometry, or a spring-loaded element to provide audible or tactile feedback and to enhance retention.
Design and operation typically emphasize repeatable engagement and release, material compatibility, and manufacturing tolerances. SnapLock parts
