Skorpaits are a fictional group of nocturnal arachnids described in speculative zoology and fantasy literature. In this context they are placed in the order Scorpida and are closely related to true scorpions, though they display distinctive features such as a broader carapace and a tail with a more pronounced curvature. Adults typically measure 2–5 cm in body length, with a segmented abdomen, large pedipalps, and a venomous stinger at the end of the tail. The exoskeleton is hardened and often mottled in browns and grays, providing camouflage among rocky substrates.

Habitat and distribution: Skorpaits are described as endemic to arid and semi-arid regions of the fictional continent of Silvara. They inhabit rocky outcrops, crevices, and sparse scrub, active mainly at night when temperatures are cooler. They are versatile predators, feeding on insects, spiders, and occasionally small lizards.
