Ronkturgust is a proposed meteorological phenomenon describing very short-lived, irregular wind gusts that occur under specific atmospheric and topographic conditions. The term functions as a neologism in speculative wind science and is not widely adopted in official weather literature.

Etymology and history are unclear, with the name appearing in contemporary discussions of small-scale wind variability. It is generally treated as a descriptive label rather than a formally defined category in standard meteorology, and its exact origins remain uncertain.

Proposed mechanisms for ronkturgust involve interactions between a stable boundary-layer air mass and complex terrain, such as mountainous or hilly landscapes. In these settings, localized vertical motions, shear, and intermittent convection can produce transient, downslope or upslope accelerations. The result is a series of discrete gusts that may occur without a preceding storm system. The gusts are typically short in duration and may vary in intensity from calm to moderate winds, with irregular timing.
