Repeaty is a colloquial term used in music production and audio discussions to describe material that emphasizes repetition or looping. It is not an official technical term, but it appears in forums, tutorials, and reviews to characterize textures that loop or recur with minimal variation.

Practically, repeaty material uses looped phrases, sustained drones, or rhythmic patterns that persist over several bars. Producers may construct repeaty sections with repeated samples, MIDI patterns, or automation that intensifies the effect of repetition. Variation is often introduced through subtle changes in timbre, pitch, groove, or dynamics across repeats to prevent monotony while preserving the hypnotic feel.

In genre usage, repeaty textures are common in minimal techno, ambient, and various forms of electronic music, as well as in some pop arrangements that rely on looping hooks. The term can also appear in casual critique of a track described as overly repetitive or as intentionally cyclical.

Outside music production, 'repeaty' may be used informally in branding or product descriptions to indicate a feature that repeats actions or cycles patterns, but such usage is incidental and not standardized.
