Produktblad, commonly translated as a product data sheet, is a concise document that communicates essential information about a product to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders. It provides a snapshot of the product’s identity, purpose, and core technical and regulatory characteristics, enabling quick evaluation, comparison, and ordering. A typical produktblad includes the product name and item number, the manufacturer, and a brief description; key specifications such as dimensions, weight, materials, performance metrics, and operating or environmental conditions; packaging, labeling, and shelf life; safety notes or handling precautions; and regulatory compliance statements (for example safety standards, labeling requirements, and applicable directives). It may also cover installation or usage guidance at a high level, storage conditions, warranty terms, and disposal or recycling considerations. Visuals like product images or diagrams are often included.

Produktblad files are usually one-page or short multi-page documents and are version-controlled with revision dates and authors. They are intended to support sales, procurement, engineering assessment, quality assurance, and regulatory reporting, and are commonly used in product catalogs, ERP/PLM systems, and supplier portals. They differ from more comprehensive datasheets or user manuals by focusing on essential facts rather than detailed instructions.
