Positionsstabile is a term used in Swedish to describe a property of a system whereby certain positions or configurations are stable: after a disturbance from such a position, the system tends to return to it or stay close to it. In practice, it refers to the tendency of a state to persist or recover around a specific pose or arrangement.

In dynamical systems, a position is considered stable if small perturbations do not lead the system to drift away indefinitely. If, in addition, the system tends to return to the position over time, the equilibrium is often described as asymptotically stable. The concept is closely related to the idea of potential energy minima: positions corresponding to local minima of potential energy are typically stable, since disturbances raise the energy and the system tends to move back toward the minimum.
