Polyurethane coatings are valued for their excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals, heat, and moisture, making them suitable for high-traffic areas like floors, tabletops, and furniture. They are applied in thin coats, typically with a brush, roller, or spray gun. The number of coats required depends on the desired level of protection and the specific product used. Proper surface preparation, including cleaning and sometimes sanding, is crucial for achieving optimal adhesion and a smooth finish.
