Picas is a term that can refer to two distinct concepts depending on context: a unit of measurement used in typography and an eating disorder.

In typography and printing, a pica is a unit of length equal to 1/6 of an inch, or 12 points. There are six picas in an inch. This unit is used to express column widths, margins, and other page dimensions in traditional typesetting, as well as in digital layout systems. In CSS and many typography conventions, the abbreviation pc denotes one pica.

Pica, the medical condition, is defined as persistent consumption of nonnutritive substances for at least one month. It commonly appears in early childhood or in individuals with developmental disorders and can be associated with iron deficiency or other nutritional problems.
