perälaitehäiriön
Perälaitehäiriö, often translated as anal fissure or anal tear, refers to a medical condition characterized by a small tear or cut in the lining of the anus. This lining, known as the anal canal, is sensitive and can be damaged by various factors. The primary symptom of a perälaitehäiriö is sharp, stinging pain during bowel movements, which may also be accompanied by minor bleeding, typically visible as bright red blood on toilet paper or in the stool.
The most common cause of perälaitehäiriö is the passage of large, hard stools, often associated with constipation.
Diagnosis is usually made based on the patient's symptoms and a physical examination of the anal area.
