Parametristetut is a neologism found in some Estonian-language technical writings to denote objects, models, or data that have been parameterized. The form combines the root parametri- (parameter) with a suffix signaling a completed action, yielding roughly “having been parameterized.” In this sense, parametristetut items are distinguished from fixed-form entities by their representation through a parameterized family rather than a single instance.

Definition and scope: A parametristetut model expresses its behavior as a function of one or more parameters. The term is often applied in fields such as statistical modeling, computer science, and design, where parameterization allows systematic exploration of variability and adaptation to different conditions. In practice, a parametristetut system exposes a parameter vector and a mapping to outputs or configurations, enabling reproducibility and configurability.

Examples: A parametristetut regression model might use a parametric form where coefficients are themselves functions of a higher-level parameter set. A parametristetut visual filter could be defined by a parameter vector controlling blur, contrast, and edge sensitivity, producing multiple variants from a single specification.
