NanoAdjustment is a term used in nanotechnology and precision engineering to describe the process of making nanoscale alterations to a structure, device, or system to improve performance, alignment, or calibration. The concept covers passive corrections, such as trimming dimensions or compensating residual stress, and active adjustments performed by nanoscale actuators or feedback-controlled systems. Because tolerances at the nanometer scale are sensitive to thermal drift and material inhomogeneities, nanoAdjustment aims to reduce error sources that limit the function of sensors, optical components, and nanoelectromechanical systems.

Challenges include measurement uncertainty, drift, and environmental sensitivity; limited repeatability across devices; and the difficulty of scaling laboratory techniques to manufacturing.
