Minimeeriksid, also known as miniature meerkats, are small mammals native to southern Africa. They belong to the mongoose family and are known for their distinctive social behavior and upright posture. These small creatures typically inhabit arid and semi-arid regions, often found in grasslands, savannas, and shrublands.

Physically, minimeeriksid are characterized by their slender bodies, long tails, and pointed snouts. They possess dark rings around their eyes, which help to reduce glare from the sun.
