Metalliseksi is a Finnish term that expresses becoming or being converted into metal. It is a translative form of the noun metalli and is used to describe the result of a metallization process, or, in some contexts, the state of being metallic. In everyday language it is less common than verbs like metallisoida, but it appears in technical or descriptive passages to denote an outcome.

In materials science, metallization refers to applying a metal layer to a nonmetallic substrate to impart properties such as electrical conductivity, reflectivity, corrosion resistance, or an aesthetic finish.
