Liikuttimen is the Finnish term for an actuator, a device that converts energy into mechanical motion to create or control movement in a system. The word liikuttimen is the genitive form of liikutin in Finnish. Actuators provide linear or rotary motion and can deliver various amounts of displacement and force depending on the design and energy source.
