lihavo

Lihavo is a Finnish term for applying bold formatting to text. In typography and digital writing, bold (often described in Finnish as lihavoitu teksti) is used to give emphasis by rendering characters darker and heavier than the surrounding text. Bold is commonly applied to headings, keywords, and terms that deserve special attention.

The infinitive form is lihavoida; the imperative label found in software interfaces is often lihavoi or merely lihavo. The noun lihavoitu describes text that already has bold formatting.
