laminaatilla
Laminaatilla is a term used in design discussions to refer to a family of decorative laminate surfaces intended for interior finishes. The name combines laminaat, the Dutch word for laminate, with the suffix -illa to convey a refined or small-scale variation. In a typical conception, laminaatilla surfaces are multi-layer composites consisting of a substrate such as MDF or HDF board, a printed decorative layer, and a transparent overlay that provides protection against scratches and moisture. A balancing layer may also be included to stabilize the panel.
The decorative layer is produced by high-resolution printing and can imitate various appearances, including wood grain,
Production follows standard laminate methods: preparation of the substrate, bonding of layers with adhesive, and hot-pressing
