Kokokoon is a fictional mammal species created for collaborative world-building and speculative fiction projects. The concept emerged in online communities in the early 2010s as a flexible template for fauna in a shared universe, with no single canonical depiction.

Physically, kokokoons are small to medium-sized herbivores with a rounded body, short limbs, and a dense woolly coat that varies from pale gray to chestnut. They have large, rounded ears, a short snout, and a distinctive dorsal crest that can raise when alarmed. A bushy tail aids balance and signaling within groups.

In their imagined habitat, kokokoons inhabit temperate forests and scrublands within the shared setting. They form loose social groups, typically ranging from five to twenty individuals, and communicate through a mix of soft vocalizations, tail signaling, and scent markings. Their diet consists of leaves, berries, and bark, supplemented by fruit when available. They are generally shy but curious around humans and other beings in their world.
