Keskvõrku is the Estonian term for the midrange portion of the audible frequency spectrum in loudspeakers. There is no fixed universal boundary, but it typically covers roughly from a few hundred hertz up to a few kilohertz (commonly around 250 Hz to 2–4 kHz). The exact limits vary by design and application.

In loudspeaker systems, the midrange carries the core of vocal intelligibility and the fundamental frequencies of many musical instruments, making it essential for natural timbre and presence. It acts as a bridge between the bass region, which provides weight and rhythm, and the treble region, which adds air and detail. The quality of the keskvõrku significantly influences perceived clarity, articulation, and realism.

Design and engineering aspects include the use of dedicated midrange drivers, often ranging from about 3 to 6.5 inches in diameter in traditional two- or three-way systems. Materials for diaphragms vary (paper, polypropylene, metal, composites) and affect stiffness, damping, and distortion. Crossover networks segment the signal from bass and treble drivers, with typical crossover points in the lower hundreds of hertz to a few kilohertz, while ensuring appropriate phase and impedance behavior.

Measurement and evaluation focus on frequency response uniformity, distortion, and directivity in the midrange, as well as how the driver integrates with other components. The keskvõrku remains a central consideration in hi-fi speakers, studio monitors, and other high-fidelity systems, where accurate midrange reproduction is key to overall sound quality.
