jämstälkt

Jämstälkt is a Swedish adjective associated with equality, especially gender equality. The standard noun form is jämställdhet (“gender equality”). The adjective has different forms to agree with the noun: jämställd for common gender, and jämställt for neuter nouns. The spelling jämstälkt is less common and not considered the standard neuter form in formal Swedish; it may appear in informal use or headlines, but normative grammar uses jämställt for neuter contexts.

The term describes states, policies, or practices that ensure equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities for people of different genders.
