Intori, also known as the African buffalo or Cape buffalo, is a large bovine native to sub-Saharan Africa. It is one of the most widespread and successful large herbivores on the continent. Intori are characterized by their massive build, dark brown or black coat, and distinctive ridged horns that fuse at the base, forming a helmet-like structure. They are social animals, typically found in herds that can range in size from a few individuals to several hundred. These herds offer protection from predators, which include lions, hyenas, and crocodiles.
The diet of the intori consists primarily of grasses. They are grazers and spend a significant portion
