Intelekto is a term used in Indonesian and Malay contexts to denote the faculty of the intellect—the capacity for rational thought, understanding, and reflective judgment. It refers to the set of cognitive abilities that enable reasoning, abstraction, planning, problem solving, and language-based thinking. In philosophy and cognitive science, intelektо is often treated as the core mental faculty that supports knowledge acquisition and complex decision making, and it is commonly contrasted with affect or social faculties.
