Grafitové is a form of the Czech and Slovak adjective derived from the noun grafit (graphite), used to describe substances, objects or properties related to graphite or having a graphitic character. Grammatically it agrees in gender, number and case with the noun it modifies; grafitové is the nominative plural or feminine/neuter forms in certain declensions.

In material and industrial contexts, grafitové denotes materials that contain graphite or exhibit graphitic structure and properties, such as grafitové elektrody (graphite electrodes), grafitové maziva (graphite lubricants) and grafitové kompozity (graphite composites). These materials are valued for high thermal and electrical conductivity, chemical stability at elevated temperatures, and lubricating qualities due to graphite’s layered crystal structure.

In everyday usage, grafitové may refer to color or finish, indicating a dark gray, metallic shade often described as “graphite gray” on consumer goods, electronics and automotive paint. It also appears in product names—e.g., grafitové tužky for pencil leads made from graphite.
