Glukosekurve refers to a graphical representation of blood glucose levels over time. This is most commonly used in medical contexts to monitor a person's response to glucose intake or to assess their blood sugar regulation. A standard glukosekurve is often generated during an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).

In an OGTT, a person's fasting blood glucose is measured. They then consume a specific amount of a sugary drink, and their blood glucose is measured again at regular intervals, typically every 30 minutes to two hours, for a period of two to three hours. The results are plotted on a graph with time on the x-axis and blood glucose concentration on the y-axis, forming the glukosekurve.

A typical glukosekurve for a healthy individual will show a rise in blood glucose after consuming the glucose drink, followed by a gradual decrease as insulin is released to bring the levels back to normal.
